mentioned by martin last night as the latest .. best credit card to be used abroad .
The recent detail on this site includes this .....
"""The overall winner is the Abbey Zero card, which has no foreign exchange loading anywhere in the world, plus charges no fee for withdrawing cash from an ATM. """
Question for Martin .... understand about it "not charging fee for withdrawing cash from ATM" ... but how do we know what exchange rate will be given .??

Just for info there's already a thread on ZERO
But that won't answer your specific question as the only people that can answer it are Abbey themselves. It's currently anybodies guess as to whose exchange rate they use and how up to date it is. If it's anything like the PO card or Nationwide then it will be good.0 -
hhhmmmm may need the terms and cons going through with a fine tooth comb to ensure it is correct that there are no loadings.
I guess Martin has done this already though so the rate should be the Visa corporate rate for the day as found here

Is this Abbey Zero card managed by MBNA? I want to transfer my balance from an MBNA platinum card, and I doubt that they will let me if both are with the same bank.
Anybody know?
Cheers

No, it's just MC for Abbey Zero. The standard Abbey CC is available as a choice of MC or Visa.0 -
PBA,
The 13 month card seems to have been pulled from the website, although branch literature indicates the card is still available.
Is it now only available from branch, or by phone as well?0
