Not really DIY - Installing Cold Fill Washing Machine

We are getting this washing machine http://www.sainsburyskitchenappliances.co.uk/Product_Information.aspx?BackLink=Product_Listings&ProductID=7356&ProductCode=WAS28466GB
my question is, never having installed any appliances before, will this be very easy to install ourselves? Is it just a matter of plugging it into the water supply? There is already a cold fill washer in situ but the vendor of our flat is taking it with them.. so is it just a matter of plugging this into the electrics and water supply? (I presume all fittings are already there, will they be universal?)
Am a bit worried that if say, there was an AEG in there before, the Bosch fittings will not be the same in regards of the water input.
Am probably being stupid but I wanted to check because Sainsburys don't offer installation and are cheaper than JL but JL will install.
Thanks

Standard fittings are used, so installation should be easy. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Dead easy:
1. Drop the waste pipe into the big U bed behind the machine, or push it on to the waste connection under the sink (depends what you have).
2. Screw the water pipe to the supply (hand tight should be sufficient), and switch on (little tap with blue lever).
3. Plug in for power.
And thats it!
Top tip if you have a vinyl floor - cut two lengths of cardboard and put them under the feet, then just push the machine into place. Once under the worktop, tip the unit side to side and pull out the card board. If you push it on vinyl flooring, you're liable to rip it (been there, done that
). 0 -
Hmm, it is cheap laminate... should we cardboard it on that too?Kavanne

Protect the laminate too - better to be safe than sorry!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Just installed my new cold fill Bosch today. Currys couldn't supply it for a couple of weeks - went through Quidco and bought off Boots Home - cheaper than Currys price, got Boots points and Quidco cashback. Great service - all went very well before and at time of delivery - we ordered online last Thursday. Very pleased indeed.0

We put a piece of old carpet (wrong way up so that it slides better) under our washing machine to get it in and out without scratching the ceramic floor tiles. We left the carpet under there (ensuring its tucked under just out of sight) then if/when the washer has to come out its not a problem. There's the added bonus of a quieter washing machine too.Top tip if you have a vinyl floor - cut two lengths of cardboard and put them under the feet, then just push the machine into place.
