tax credits

hi my partner has moved in with me waht do i do about doing a joint tax credits claim as i am claiming as single at the min??

    Hi, You will have to ring tax credit and tell them intended date of partner moving in. I'm afraid your single parent payment will be stopped immediately. You then have to ask for a form to start new claim as a joint one. Try get claim form back as soon as possible, as it takes up to 2 weeks to process. But you will get entitlement backdated from day your partner moved in.

    Grocery challenge july £300/£134-85.
  • hi thanks for that going to try and get through to them today,what information will we have to send in with the new claim form as i need to find it out and ask partner to get it???
  • All personal detail - NINO, Name, DOB, Address.
    Work Details - Hours worked per week, Name & Address of employer, PAYE number (found on P60).
    Income Details - Earnings for 2007/08 and Any taxable benefits from 07/08
    Child Details - Names, DOBS
