The other thing is you'd get the whole of the maintence from your daughters father (and tax credits don't count that)0

Depending on the system, of which I do not know enough about, it maybe possible to still claim something towards prescriptions and the like depending on how much Child Tax Credits you receive as a family.
Hopefully someone might be able to clarify this point0 -
