Many thanks in advance.

If you want to do your own Photoshop is a good program, I used to to with design and did it self employed for a while, if you search the net there are a few cheap compaines out there, depends on what you really want to spend and that.0

There's some free software available here, I haven't tried it out myself so can't say if it's good or bad. http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/04/30/logoease-quick-and-easy-logo-creation/0

Unless you are a good or trained designed, (or skilled with photoshop and know what you want) and you want a professional logo, I suggest you look at finding a designer. A poor logo makes your company look cheap. There are many problems too, e.g. one that's been created in the wrong file format and can't be scaled up, one that uses full colour and costs a fortune to print professionally etc.
Plenty of design students will help you out cheaply.0 -
I agree with isofa. It doesn't cost a lot to have a professionally designed logo. A simple Google Search brings up plenty of companies offering a cheap logo design service.0

Whatever you do, avoid the bunch who did the new logo for the Office of Government Commerce, theirs made the headlines for all the wrong reasons last month as it looks a tad obscene when viewed on it's side.
