ARCHOS MP4 or VIDEO IPOD ?

Have had an Archos 30gig MP4 player for over a year and am quite satisfied with it but am wondering whether to swap to a video Ipod.
Am able to record from TV and any DVD that I play.

Would I be able to do a similar thing on the ipod ?
I know that you can buy and download films/tv progrmas etc , but thought it is mostly in the US and that in Britain it was only music ?

if there is there anybody that could enlighten me , it would be appreciated

I have an Archos 605 Wi-Fi and iPod 80GB Classic and whilst you can download and watch Movies and TV Programmes on the iPod, it isn't a patch on the Archos. The Archos has the bigger screen offers TV Recording which the iPod doesn't.

The only reason I have the two is the iPod get used purely for music when in the Car and on the Train, the Archos gets used for DVD's on the Plane. Plus it is a lot easier to get DVD's on to the Archos assuming you have the add on that allows you just to copy the files straight over.
