    Hi Jenny,

Sorry I can't help with your specific questions - well outside my area of competence. I just wanted to say that reading the thread I feel that this may have been the best outcome for you.

I know the financial side of things is important and I am sure the wonderful people here will ensure you do not miss any of your entitlements. But the most important thing is to cope with your depression and succeed in your exams.

Hold on to a vision of your successful life once you have passed those exams.
If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it

    hi,

Well they dismissed me... saying that it seems unlikely due to my illness that I will be able to cope with the demands of the job (TBH its true and I'm SO relieved to be out of there) but now I have to work out the financial side of things.

A lady at the SU helped me to complete my HB form and tommorrow I will make a claim for JSP.

How long is all this likely to take? what next?

    Thanks

    Jen

It can vary depending on the area and how busy they are but it should not take more than a few weeks for things to be sorted out, but I have read of it taking longer.

If you are a student you don't need to put the call centre on your cv as no future employer will see this time as a gap.
