Cost for Bathroom

Hi folks

Could anyone give an idea of the average cost to re-do a bathroom (approx 6'x5')?

I need the following done:

Remove and replace old suite. Panelled bath to be replaced with freestanding one.
Remove old tiles, part re-tile, replaster the rest.

Possibly lay new floor, depending on cost.

Materials to be supplied by me.

I did my bathroom approx 2 years ago when i moved into my new house and it was roughly the same size as yours. Mine cost in the region of £1000 for a new suite (B&Q), plumber to move some of the pipework around and then the tiling which i did myself. I only put down a Lino though which will be cheaper than tiling the floor. The cost very much depends on how much you will do yourself.

For labour only, you should get change out of £1500.

If all the new suite is going in the same place as the old one comes out, its not that difficult a job, for an average good DIY'er. get a book from the librabry, and take one step at a time. if you do itself, when i did mine i found it useful to put in extra stop-taps on each pipe. (may help any problems in the future)
