Class of degree is more important than subject although I do agree about Klingon! There's little difference between saying BA English and BA General (or however an unnamed degree would be described) You can then go into content in your CV. Obviously if you've done a very "pick and mix" choice with the OU you may find that you haven't the depth of knowledge required for some careers but the majority of graduate employers are looking for the transferrable skills that undergraduate study should equip you with, rather than subject knowledge. For most careers you do a degree so that at the end of it you'll be a graduate rather than a graduate in a particular subject.0

interesting...
could save me studying with then for an extra year at the end of my degree...
i suppose i could then go on to do my masters with them, which might be worth a go...

I don't want to get your hopes up, but it might be worth phoning the LEA to see if you might be entitled to something.
I don't know what the current rules are (because they are always changing!), but even if you had done several years of study I think you used to be able to get maintenance loan (not fees help or grants) if you had not got an honours degree. If you didn't graduate with a degree it would be worth checking if this is still the case.0
