Gambling Desposit with Credit Card via PayPal

Wondering if anyone can help me here.

If I deposit into, say, Ladbrokes with my M&S Money Card which has a positive balance, I may be charged a fee as its depositing into a bookmakers.

Now, if I deposit using a positive balance in paypal or a debit card, there is definately no fee.

Would I be charged if I login to ladbrokes, slect deposit method as paypal (with a £0 balance) and used the +ve balance on my M&S Money Card to deposit into paypal/ladbrokes?

That make sense?

I think you'd be better asking this one on a gambling forum rather than a moneysaving one.
After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

    Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
    Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0

Dont see how the M&S card will know that it is any other than a funds transfer. How could they know the gambling connection or if the balance on your Paypal account was already in credit enough to cover the gambling payment.

Betfair charge you a commision of 1.5% for depositing money using paypal, I'm not sure if Ladbrokes do the same.

If the deposit is for the sportsbook, you might want to check with Ladbrokes that it's ok - I didn't think Paypal allowed gambling payments since being bought Ebay. I know some casinos are still allowed, but not the majority of sportsbooks.
