I'm playing Andrex at the same time & I'm getting REALLY frustrated with it, as I'm getting all the questions right, but never get any more than 2 right!

    I've been playing for hours!!!

Cheers Sweetie - yes, I'm a lot better now thanks :D So much happier, but still on antibiotics due to a urinary infection that I've had for 3 weeks :O

Hoping to be back on the ice within the next couple of weeks for the tournament in Swindon in the middle of June - fingers crossed :D

Good luck with your son - little stuff ;)

I live about 20 mins from Swindon!!! :D I'm in West Oxfordshire and end up going to Swindon for shopping now as Oxford shopping is a dump/rip off/congested/full of tourists/freaks lol

I knew UTI's could last longer than a few days, when I went with one that I'd had for 12 days the doctor scoffed at me infront of a med student and made me feel as if I was lying to get drugs or something!!!! dammit!!! that was the same doctor, who when I asked if something weird was going on with all the bugs and viruses getting much stronger, as everyone seems to be catching them, and they last ages, (as opposed to a few years ago one or two people might catch something that lasted a couple of days) and she completely ignored me!!! I was sat waiting for an answer like a lemon!!! Has anyone noticed that about the bugs that go around now? I know they say they are getting resistent to anti biotics but it's getting a bit ridiculous where I live!!
  • I go to uro gyny clinic regular I am an expert on urinary tract infection:rotfl:

Cranberry capsules have been my saviour one a day with plenty of water in morning works wonders do not take anymore as you will end up on loo all day:rotfl:

If all else fails a stash of cefalexin works :D
Just back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream

Lucy, I work part-time at a hospital & I have to say that yes, they strains of various illnesses are getting stronger! Some people don't help themselves by going to the Doctors for antibiotics at the drop of a hat, as they become resistant to them!

I'll let you know when we're at Swindon - you can come and laugh at me trying to skate round the ice after a few beers, then trying to score goals!!

SFH - I'm on Ciproflaxin at the moment, so fingers crossed it'll actually work, especially now the stent has been removed :D

I'm allergic to cefalexin

Had something else which made me sooooooo nauseous so they gave me cefalexin instead and I burst out in a rash all over my hands!!!! had to go back on the nauseas ones again (this was my 1st pregnancy so had to take something to clear it up properly)

I also drunk gallons of pure cranberry and developed a craving for the smell of it!!!! I would inhale some cranberry shampoo I had over and over again and also my cranberry wheats breakfast cereal!!!

I knew it!!! I don't know why the doctor wouldn't answer my question!? Perhaps they've been told not to start a mass panic or something by saying it?

You are right about people not helping themselves, 10 years ago anytime you'd go to the doc they would dish out medicine, but barely ever do anymore. So people think they are being fobbed off. I don't know why they didn't realise sooner that it would make the bugs resistant?

On my sons 1st xmas he was 6 months old and had the nastiest chest infection I have heard, and also the doctor said he had all sorts of horrible rattles going on in his chest, the (same doctor as before actually!!) said she couldn't decide whether it was caused by a virus or dammit I can't remember the word...... the opposite to virus, the erm one anti biotics fight? so it was up to me whether or not to give him the medicine she prescribed?!!! flippin heck!!
