Help with this mp3 player

Hello, so i got this portable MP3 player from a friend (Myson MTM809A3) with SD card, i have no info whatsoever about this thing since he said they just found it.

I can make it work, the problem is i can put around 15 songs and it will only play 4 or so, i tried deleting long songs and keeping short ones but same problem still.

Could anyone help me?

What file format are the songs that you are putting on? Are they all the same?

  • If your friend "found" it, it may be broken and hence discarded?
Read more in the link below, Has it been formatted? The well known mp3 players are more reliable and better for use....
More problems on the same unit:

Yes, they are all mp3, one was m3u but it still played unlike some of the other mp3 files

Does the player 'see' all the songs you put on, or does it only 'see' 4?

Thats the problem, it has no screen at all, so whenever i hit the next song button it goes to the next one and so on, but after 3 songs it goes back to the first, earlier it played around 8 maybe? then 5 then i formatted and it played only 4

Are the mp3s all ID3v1? You can check this if you have Winamp installed on your PC, play the file, right-click on the song and choose View File Info...

The player sounds kinda old, and the website doesn't even list that model, so I'm thinking it may only support ID3v1 type mp3's. I could be wrong!

I have no idea, ill go get Winamp see what it says, and the player is old or so i guess, after all it needs a AAA battery to work.
