How do i embed an image in an email, using my hotmail account?

I am not trying to attach an image, just embed it in the message
(so you do not have to open it)

Two 'probable' ways spring to mind...give one of these a try if you haven't already:

1. Host the image on a image hosting site (like Photobucket) and paste this code into the body of your message:

img src=http://(full internet path to the image)

OR

2. In the new email message, click on 'Attach' but instead of attaching a file, attach a photo instead and point to the directory of the image you are trying to send (I'm pretty sure this works, as I have done it myself before).

Bear in mind the reciepient may recieve it as an attachment anyway depending how their email/webmail is configured.

Is it essential it is embedded?
