Anybody done the moral dilemma poll on the £3.99 laptop?

Here's another: suppose you went into a phone shop, and they were offering deals including laptop/modem on contract; so you went for that one. Then the salesman asked if you wanted it delivered to your house or to the shop (which would be much quicker) and you said 'shop'. Imagine you went in to collect three days later and everything was fine, then a card appeared on the mat saying there was a parcel to collect. Just as you were about to make a 30 mile round trip to the courier's depot a man with a box arrived, saving you a long drive. In the box was a laptop. So you put it in the corner and waited a bit. A week later the phone rang and a person said they wanted to speak to the contract holder - re modem (not laptop) and 'delivery query' - quite vague. So you gave them the contract holder's number and said call back, and you were still waiting for that call. What would you do?

Went for a look at the stop smoking thread. It's full of night owls. Shouldn't we have our own stop smoking club? I smoke like a chimney at night but now they've taken away paid breaks at work I really need to cut it out. Oh and I did have a heart attack. Come on - there's enough of us:j Maybe we could get Mupet to stop eating cardboard as well ;)

re your dilemma: You can eat with one hand - but to slightly misquote Roger Waters 'don't take a bite of my sandwich' (see above). Do you smoke?

Vlad, I don't often eat cardboard. I'll have you know I was very MSE last night and made a huge pot of chilli to eat/freeze/take for packed lunch. Then I flamin' forgot to bring some today.:o

    Befor the passengers what?

get lost, cos they cant get through the gates to the platform without someone to tell them which way to go, even though they do it every day
