Sorry but I've had to remove the codes as no source was posted.

"The following is from Martin: I have asked the board guides on this board to remove any online discount vouchers that are not sourced. Whilst I love ways people can save and take on big companies, due to past possible litigation we have to be careful that these vouchers are legitimate to use. Therefore we need to know where they come from. As we don't at the moment the code has had to be deleted. Sorry. If you have any questions about this rule please send it to andrea@moneysavingexpert.com"

If the code does not break the rules please feel free to add the code again. :)

I have removed the posts from users asking the code to be pmed to them. If the code does not break the rules it can be posted here.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Wirm, it seems yet again you haven't read my post properly.

I posted the code as it was a mass mailing. I have stated this in my post! Instead of PM'ing the code I posted it and stated the source. And now you have removed it which as resulted in more PM's! Please read my post again. It states the following:

"As it seems just about everyone has received these codes I can't see any valid reason not to post them. Really sorry, I haven't got the time at the moment to send them via PM."

As you can see I wasn't telling people to PM me.

Now please can you replace the codes in my thread.

    BargainBabe saying

Is not a valid source. Please read Online Vouchers: The Rules and Guidance for full details of posting codes on this board. If you have any problems or questions with site rules please email andrea@moneysavingexpert.com

    Board Guide
  • Hi everyone

There seems to be some confusion on this thread. Can I just clarify.

As it says in the quote above, the board guides on the online/offline vouchers board have been asked to delete all posts/threads containing codes if the poster has not indicated precisely where the code comes from and that it is available to the general public.

Please don't blame the board guides. They're just doing what Martin has asked them to do to keep the boards running smoothly and help the site avoid potential problems.

    Andrea :)

  • So, to clarify if a code printed on a leaflet is received through the post by me and many others, Is this a valid source or not?

No because if they say on yours it is for your 'personal use' even if loads of other people get the same one they can get this site into trouble for publicly displaying codes not intended for general use, and therefore fraud. I know they ar eon other sites but that alone means nothing. Another site listing a load of codes is not a 'valid' source.

we try to keep on top of it there are site rules which are fairly straightfoward and comprehensive.
