Hi I am looking for somewhere for me and the bf to go in the first week of october.
It has to be hot
Flying from Manchester or leeds
Must have a beach
staying for 14 nights
We want a quiet holiday but there must be a few bars/ restaurants nearby we don't want to be bored in the evenings
pricewise we are fairly flexible I suppose no more than £1000 each.
I was thinking package but if going it alone is cheaper we wll consider it
Hope you all have lots of ideas

Spent 9 nights in murcia middle of last oct, and ended up paddeling in the street, and freezing at night, so that's off my list.
Goa, season only starts around beginning of nov, so if you do go oct, a lot of places wouldnt' be open.
i would tend to look at the canary islands, any of them, although i have my favourite.
the canarys have all year round sunshine, so you've a better chance here than anywhere else.0 -
One of the Red Sea resorts?0

Depends what you call hot. Parts of Turkey are still in the mid 20's at the beginning of October.:wave:0

Cyprus is great in October. Not hot any longer but still pleasantly warm. And less tourists means cheaper prices as well.0

I'd go for Crete, or anywhere on the sourthern side of Mediteranean (sp?) Sea..
also try the Canary Islands? generally good weather all year round, but dearer because of that.
If you have cash to splash, then has to be the Caribbean!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Where in October you may possibly get very wet!0 -
Nerja in the Costa del Sol
Rhodes (there are a few quietish resorts) or Crete
Canary Isles
Madeira would be warm rather than hot (but it does not get particularly cold at night)
For £1000 per head though you could go almost anywhere - so it might be an idea to escape the Euro zone and head off further afield. Beginning of October is not school holiday so it should be possible to get a decent all inclusive deal somewhere exotic.0
