Flying Soon - Trivial Last Minute Questions!

I always fill in flight details, where I'm staying(e.g hotel) and name on outside tag and home address etc on inside of bag.
I also think that if you have a similiar case to others e.g black!then as Trekka mentions, tie a coloured ribbon, string or something you know will help you identify your luggage!can be tricky if busy.
I also carry copies of my docs(passport etc) in case I lose the originals, that way you still have all the info.
Lastly, enjoy it from as soon as you arrive at the airport, that is when your holiday begins!!Have fun, it'll be great!:DI like to take one day at a time....but quite often several days attack me at once...:eek:0 -
Thanks again everyone, I'm off to sleep, as it's nearly time to get up

I have a letter with name and address in my bag, and my diary with mobile number in, so that should be ok.
Good, but why make life difficult for the stressed baggage staff? They might start rifling through your possessions in the hope of finding some identifying information... More likely, they will spend 3 seconds looking for anything obvious and then throw your bag into a pile labelled 'Unidentified. Requires further investigation'.
A large, clearly written sheet of paper with your name, flight details (including date) and contact details is quick and easy. Make it the last thing that you pack, and the first thing that they'll see when they open your bag. Even this should be a last resort after your own baggage label and the printed baggage tag have been ripped off.0 -
I always put my work address on my baggage labels - this way I won't get burgled. I tend to shove a business card on the inside of the case too.0
