Typical Ebay!

Ive had problems with Ebay recently with non-paying bidders and also Ive purchased an item that I never received. Was Ebay concerned? Of course not! I followed all procedures but got nowhere.

Im selling a mobile phone at the moment and a potential buyer contacted me to ask if he could buy it privately. No sooner had I received this than Ebay sent me an email to say that they were aware of the communication it was not allowed to sell an Ebay item privately.

Seems when Ebay are going to be out of pocket they are very quick and on the ball!

  • I won an item from a seller in Europe. I emailed him / her for a payment address.
    No reply.
3 further emails also brought no response.
I contacted Ebay customer service with a request for their intervention.
Their eventual response was that I contact the seller by email (sic) and try and resolve the problem by mutual agreement.
I replied to Ebay that emails from me to this seller were not getting a response. Ebay replied with 'have you tried to email the seller (!) or we can let you have the sellers phone number so you can phone.
My response to Ebay was that the seller does not appear to speak English and I don't speak his / her language.
Ebay replied by telling me that I could send the seller a email or phone him. (Its like deja vu - all over again !!).
At that point I deleted all my Ebay emails on the subject and posted some negative feedback for the seller.
If that is what Ebay considers 'customer service' then I think it is about time they closed down that department. In my opinion it is as useful as a chocolate teapot !!
I only wish I could post some negative feedback about Ebay.
  • I'm in a bad mood with ebay at the moment too! See my thread for the first reason (about a buyer claiming item not received)...and here's another...

Signed up for Selling Manager Pro free trial for a month and then tried to unsubscribe after that month. Link refused to work for a couple of days but found that I could unsubscribe from the same page that i subscribed from, so did that just before my free trial was up...

Checked my sellers account the other day..guess what...selling manager pro subscription charge!!! >:(

So I emailed ebay and got a response saying that I would "be automatically credited" for the amount I was due...uh huh, sure Mr ebay-customer-services-man.

Still haven't been credited and sent another email the other day with which they responded this time saying I should follow this link to unsubscribe! Yeah thanks again but I'm NOT subscribed anymore! Grrrrrr

Lost my rag and sent an email complaining about it again...looking forward to next months Selling Manager Pro fee again :(:(
