Pension Credits & Voluntary work

Hubby has been receiving some Pension Credits for the last 18months and has been doing voluntary work for a local charity for about the last 6 months for 3 afternoons a week. The person who runs this charity has been asked by the Tax Office for names and address's and NI numbers for everyone that works there voluntarily. He is now worried that he is going to get into trouble for doing this. Why would the Tax people want this information ?

I dont know why the Tax Office would want the information but there is nothing wrong with your husband doing Voluntary Work whilst receiving Pension Credit so I dont think there is any reason to worry.
