Hi everyone,
Just thought id warn you of my experiences with Capital One. I applied for their cashback in january as it claimed to be paying 1% cashback. I went from a link on this site and applied and was accepted online. I was also called about other products and while this operator was on i thought Id just confirm it was a cashback card....he replied in the affirmative.
My heckles were raised when my bill didnt have a running total of what i would receive on the anniversary. I have contacted them and apparently (without my consent) i was declined (for the first time ever!!) for the cashback card so they very thoughtfully and without telling me put me onto a 'normal' card. I am now in the process of writing an official complaint about their procedures which will have a lovely destroyed card with it.
Just a warning for anyone who deals with this company....be careful what you believe. As anyone else had a similar experience?

Crapital One are well known for doing this. It is in their terms and conditions that they can do it, not that it makes it right. I sympathise with your situation but I very much doubt you will get much out of a complaint. Be sure to report back if you do, though.
Cheers
