I have one too, I posted this on the complaints thread months ago...and still havent't got anywhere.

    Ryanair surprisingly :S

I booked a flight to Glasgow from London, checked he T's and C's.... it said domestic flights can use the following identification Passport, Driving License ... and a few other ID cards.

So I go ahead the night before my flight, check in online, enter in my ID number from the driving license...

Arrive at the airport 3 hours before my flight, go through security...and wait at the gate as soon as it's called.

I get to the door where they're taking tickets only to be told "sorry you can't use your driving license".... I had my passport with me too, always carry it on my travels but was told it wasn't any use as the Ticket ID I'd entered only matched my Driving licence.

I explained their Tc's and C's and another passenger came over and said the other airline staff member had already let 3 customers board with their driving licenses.

I then got pulled out of the queue and was told by some snotty staff woman, surrounded by about 9 of her colleagues that I should have read the rules more clearly.

    ******

I have the ability to read and even got my mum to check the Terms etc after this fiasco... completely unhelpful staff if you ask me.

Anyway the every so nice member of staff </sarcasm> informed me I could go and pay for a later flight, which would have cost me £100+ (I can't remember exact amount right now).... How so very kind of them!

Anyway fuming, almost in tears with anger I went back through security explained why I had to go out... and was told by the security staff the way I'd been treated was ridiculous.

I refused to pay for another Ryanair flight, I think I had every right to refuse... and went with another airline.

I've been trying to recoup my costs since November... I've had one generic reply which basically said No, sorry tough.

And then received another email from another member of staff saying she would look into it, I've emailed back since with no reply.

I also tried the customer service number however it turns my stomach the amount their cals costl, and even on saynoto0870 the number is Irish so I incurr international fee's, and while I'm on my rant... I did give in and called the number only to be told to press 2 then 5 then 6 then 9 then 8 then listen to 10 mins of music and Ryanair spiel.... I get to a selection I believe is the correct one and it says "for this department you need to redial 0870...bla bla", you get my point ?

I can't think where to take this next... it's come down to the principle of it all they were in the wrong and I want an apology at least.

    K

p.s. rant over deep breath taken :)

My boyfriend recently paid £90 for a cut and colour at Toni & Guys which went very wrong. They tried to fix it on the day but it was dreadful so when he came home i phoned and complained. They offered to fix the problem but refused to pay the £10 petrol expenses and £7 parking fee and suggested he catch the train which is well over an hour journey with 2 changes. I argued they should cover his expenses as it was their fault to which i was told well it will cost us enough to re-colour it. Im giving up and I learnt a rather expensive lesson that day.

Maybe this thread should be moved to the vent board?

    aaahhhh

An Interview with Guiseppe Mascolo, CEO of Toni & Guy

GUISEPPE MASCOLO is not a name that is immediately known across the UK or the world. But Giuseppe’s other name, Toni, the one even his family call him by, is a household name, making up one half of the hairdressing super-brand “Toni & Guy”. And who is Toni himself ?

    many thanks,,,good idea.

funnily enough I was at a Wigan game and saw one of Mr F sidekicks ,,, Mike Phelan. He was with a downs syndrome lad,,,so looks like they may have a better understanding.

Also, I have spoken to the Equality and Human Rights commission and were helpful.

Apparently its AMAZINGLY not a big deal and not illegal to abuse and be rude to the disabled and long and you physically give them the same service.

Whereby,,,, ANY racist comments are illegal.

I emailed asda about a NO TEARS toddler shampoo that stung my dd's eye so much she screamed & cried , her eye was still red the next day, they requested I post the shampoo to them so they could send it off for testing , ages later they said it had been tested by their supplier and ther was nothing wrong with it, gave me an Asda gift card that barely covered the cost of the shampoo, & postage. No apology whatsoever. Not impressed, I just wanted to warn them that their product hurt kids which I would have thought a shampoo for toddlers labled as no tears shouldn't do.

mancunian, do you not think you are just over-reacting...
and isn't you calling him a 'meathead' quite judgemental.
as he wasn't aiming the comment at you or about you i don't understand why you think you need to complain
what happened to the right of being able to express opinions exactly...
