Not being much of a cricket fan... could someone please let me know approximately what time to expect the result to be known? Will it be tonight or tomorrow morning? Is it when both sides have finished batting?

Rex_Mundi wrote:British Airways are doing a limited offer on flights to Sydney or Melbourne. The price of the tickets, and how many tickets are available will depend on the first innings scores of the next ashes test.
The amount of tickets available will be determined by Englands first innings score. So if we score 500 (I hope) in our first innings. There will be 500 tickets available.
The price of the tickets will be determined by Australias first innings score. So if they score 150 (lol......I wish) in their first innings. The tickets will be £150 each.
If the above scores happened in the next test. BA will offer 500 tickets at £150 a ticket. The current BA price is approx £600 per ticket.
A special phoneline has been set up for this promotion, and will open after the first two innings are complete. If you are interested, you will have to be very quick to grab these. Maximum 2 tickets each.
The number is 0870 850 2427

It could be anytime on Thurs/Fri/Sat. The phone lines open after the first 2 innings finish. This is why you will have to keep an eye on the cricket if you want to apply for this offer. The person to THANK is WOBY_TIDE who posted this first
Not being a regular visitor to the travel board, I didn't realise this had already been posted. I saw the offer in the Guardian and figured that because of the terms of this offer, it was best suited to quick grab it while you can. It wouldn't be the first time an offer had been posted twice. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

It's not a criticism of your duplicate post (better be told TWICE than not at all:D)
Just directing the thanks to the OP.
Mind you, I couldn't find the info on the BA site yesterday, your post did have some more info.

A few more details
As per Woby_tides original postTo celebrate the climax of one of the most thrilling Ashes tests in history, British Airways is offering flights to Australia for the price of an innings!
For one day only, British Airways will offer seats on its routes to Sydney and Melbourne for the equivalent price of Australia’s first innings. The number of flights available will be determined by the number of runs England make in their first innings.
The lines will open after both sides have completed their first innings, so please call 0870 850 2427 once this has happened. Flights can be taken between 19 September and 30 March 2006, excluding 9 – 23 December 2005.
Doesn't say RETURN flights......0 -

Just been looking at scoring records for the Oval on Times online ......
the highest innings score was by England on 20th august, 1938, when they scored 903 runs!
the lowest innings score was by Australia on 10th August, 1896, when they scored 44 runs!!
how good would that be..... 903 return flights to Australia at just £44 each!!
fingers crossed!!
