Curry's and my laptop

Has anybody here had the misfortune to attempt to get something repaired, that they bought from Curry's?
Last summer, I bought a laptop from them. Last month it died. As it's still under warranty I took it back to get repaired.
I have been messed around ever since. I was given about three different estimates as to how long it would take, none of the staff seemed to be following the same procedure (gave different answers each time I went).
Does anybody here know what their official procedure ACTUALLY is???
Thank you!

Having spoken to my daughter who works in customer services at currys she has told me the estimated turn around time is 10 days and a maximum of 28 after the 28th day you are in entitled to a replacement. Please feel free to ask for more advice.2008 wins

The one thing I have learned since moving to the UK is that people at Currys have no idea what they are talking about.0

Currys certainly used to have a policy that if they couldn't fix something under warranty within 4 weeks they'd replace it, or give a credit note for what you paid. Could well have changed though, was over 3 years since I had to return something to them...0

Ive told this tale before, but I had similar problems with a Fujitsu Amilo Laptop that was broken more than it was working. The motherboard died (that was the last thing to go after hard drive, powerlead, cooler etc) and the machine was sent away for the 5th time in 8 months.
Understandably by day 28 I happily told them I would be evoking the 28 day rule and I'd like a replacement please. Grudgingly they gave me vouchers and I replaced it with a Toshiba laptop that has never been a moments trouble.
Not long after that i started a graphics degree so I bought myself a macbook and gave DD the Toshiba anyway.
Curry's aren't fond of you knowing about the 28 rule, but it is there and you should push for the vouchers.0
