Just wondering

Hi

My hubbie has got to have an operation in a few months time and will be off work for 6 weeks after. Is there anything we can clalim?

We have 3 children, living in rented accomodation. We receive child tax credits.

I work only at weekends, and can save my earnings to pay for the time he's off, but just wondering if i've missed anything.

best wishes
Charlotte

  • Tax credits look at your annual inc - so if say he's only going to get SSP there may be a large drop in 08/09 inc - call the helpline with a realistic estimate & your award could increase

    Hi,
I think you can get statutory sick pay and then incapacity benefit.
    Take a look at www.direct.gov.uk
