How about taking her to the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham? A great day shopping in city centre, theatres etc of a city break and the jewllery quarter can be a great place to buy good stuff at good prices. Can get something unique as so many shops and all make their own i believe.

My boyfriend, now my husband, bought me a ring there for my 21st for £200 (white gold and sapphire) which I still have on. Or take her to get an idea of the styles she likes and her ring size.

That is so lovely of you to want to plan for this to be special. I second trying to get one made for her. What part of the country are you from? someone might know a good jeweller near you.

Ernest Jones and H Samuel are one and the same - they are both companies owned by Ratners:eek:

I can vouch for the jewellery quarter in Birmingham but if you want a decent online shop then QVC is good - I have bought a ring from them before (just a dress ring) as well as other items of jewellery plus my mate had her engagement ring from them.

    Congratulations:T
