Amerada Free Gas!

Since Amerada ceased trading and got taken up by Powergen, I haven't received a gas bill. It has been over a year now. I still have a full supply coming through. Will they hit me with the full wack once they find my details behind a dusty desk at Company HQ?
Has anyone out there had the same experience?

When Amerada was swallowed by Powergen, I switched to Atlantic [wondering whether to change again now...]. Anyway, my last gas & electric accounts from Amerada were never charged to my credit card!Expect the worst & hope for the best...0

Yes similar experience, nearly free electric with Hydro Electric. Every quarter their invoice showed that they had received my monthly direct debit, but it never came out of my bank account! About 2 years down the line I got a bill for £900.
They'd discovered they had been crediting my account with someone elses payments ::) As I'd put the money away every month it wasn't a problem to pay it but I did haggle a bit and got them to knock something off, can't remember exactly probably £50 for so.

I xferred too Amerada and no bill for over a year..... when i finally asked them to check they wanted payment in full. Finally haggled down to an extra 10 quid a month until the £500 debt is payed off. If I want to move though I will have to clear the account.I save so I can spend.0
