Abbey Branch based instant access saver - 6.5%

Options
Apologies if already mentioned, but I couldn't find it in a search.

Abbey have launched a new instant access savings account (it says 'new', perhaps it has been around a while) that can be operated via branch or phone. It is offering 6.5% aer (including a 1% bonus for first year).

Thought this might be of interest to those shy of using the internet for banking. Might also be a sign that banks are taking their drive for new money to the high street. Here it is:

I'll give this a try, but I (also) hope their admin steps up a gear some time soon. I handed into one of their branches an application form with ID for the 7.25% Regular Saver about 6 weeks ago and they still haven't set it up yet.
