POP UPS WHEN CLICKING ON LINKS?

Options
Any idea why when clicking on a link, I am now getting a pop up that won`t let me go to the link unless I press Ctrl whilst left clicking?
This has only started during the last couple of days

Thanks

you usually have to press ctrl and left click if you have a pop-up blocker and don't want it to block the new window / pop-up opening

Sounds like spyware to me. (techy Browser helper objects (BHO's) that popup pages that make you think they cane from the site you visited)

    Check you PC with :
Ad-Aware SE and SpyBot Manually Update both before you scan.

(XP sp2 users watch for the alert bar, because microsoft knows best ?!?!?)

    thanks for info loafer,

i have adaware and spyware doctor and run these regularly, i also have zone alarm running (don't know if that makes any difference)
it does pick things up and removes them when i run them. but not really sure why it seems to just go mad all of a sudden just when i click on certain links. it flashes up about 3 or 4 pages that just wont go away when you click on the x to close, they just keep flashing up over and over again , very bizarre ??? ???

I never had to do this until 2/3 days ago

    Try this

It will display all BHO's and let you disable them ;)

Thanks for all the info but it seems to have stopped of it`s own accord as quickly as it started
