Which are the best/worst brands of electrical consumer unit?

Choosing a new electric consumer unit, which are the best brands and which are to be avoided?

What about split load and 2008 regs? What features should I look for?

    Good afternoon: Your electrician would be able to advise you about all aspects of the installation... (and if he/she can't, find a qualified one who will) Many trades will not fit components purchased by clients eg. electricians, plumbers and CORGIs...reasons have been discussed on this forum more than a few times.
