Having lost one of my beloved cats recently I did a bit of research into pet bereavement and thought some of the links I found might be useful to others who have unfortunately found themselves having to say goodbye to a much loved companion animal.

It can be very difficult to effectively grieve for a pet in a society which largely treats animals as disposable so I'd like anyone who feels the need for support to feel free to use this thread.
