Im just about to put some cash in a isa.
is halifax still doing the best rate ?

    I wasnt aware that Halifax ever did the best ISA rate. :confused:

    i just done a search and apparently barclays tax haven isa is offering the most at 6.5%

    What does the above meen ?

    What is the rate i will be getting ?? The gross rate isn't it ?

    Have you seen this article? It explains the differences between the two. The AER is the one to use for comparison purposes between different accounts.

    This account pays interest monthly, at an annual rate of 6.31%. Therefore you earn interest every month on the interest (compounded interest), which is equivelant to (assuming you do not withdraw any money) 6.5% paid once after a year.

    Dropping to 6.27% AER i believe.
