Ringmania - They wont stop emailing

Bought from them in 2005/06 and since then emailed them 100's of times following their unsubscribe requests, through their online contact form, to their general email address, written to them, involved trading standards and consumer direct and received a reply from ringmania months ago confirming we are unsubscribed and blaming us for the fact it has taken 1-2 years to actually unsubscribe us!!! Yet STILL we receive their newsletters to this day and received a very nasty and cheeky email from them this morning blaming us for still receiving emails despite us doing everything they say to unsubscribe many times over and their own email confirming we are unsubscribed!!

All I can say is avoid them - we have now emailed their isp and contacted an anti-spam website to see if they can help.

Dont get me wrong we all get spam email unfortunately but sometimes the exact same email from Ringmania would clog us our email intray almost every day which was hard we have our business emails to deal with without all their crap for several years. And once you receive the same email for the 20th time in a short space of time (although sometimes from different email address) you feel like pulling out your hair!

Arghhhhhhh rant over now and if anyone knows anything else we can do please let me know as these idiots dont have a clue and although their laest email also confirms unsubscribe I very much doubt we are and their attitude stinks.

They also claimed they were in Norfolk but I have now discovered they are based in Thailand - so lying about location to customers as well as spamming and being rude to customers does not install faith in their company.

If you MUST order from them use a very disposable email address!

  • Do you not have a block this address function on your email client? Or better yet, a bounce function. If you do, and get a spare half hour, just sit bouncing the email back to them and see how they like it. They'll soon get fed up and remove you.

Just had a look at their site and it says they're closing down on the 18th May, so you might just get lucky and have those emails stop!! I don't think I'll order anything off them in the sale they're having tho lol. And you're right, how cheeky to say 'based in the UK' when on the contact form it's Thailand.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
