Spotlight Bulbs what a rip off!

We put spotlights in our kitchen last year, the minature 12v, with 20 watt lamps, the pack of 6 cost £24 including fittings, cable, transformers etc.
One blew last week so back to B & Q to find they were £5.95 each just for the lamp:eek: we were about to change them for something cheaper to run.
I was in IKEA yesterday where they were 2 for £1.99, stocked up for now but can anyone find them cheaper?

If they are GU10 they are 2 for a pound....at the pound shop.
EDIT sorry these are 240volt, still a bargain thoughOn the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -

Yes we have these in the bathrooms, sadly the smaller diameter one's aren 't in the pound shop yet, I suppose they will get there eventually.0 -
This also applies to halogen bulbs. Get them from a specialist electrical shop, they should be a lot cheaper. Sometimes a trade electrical place will sell retail too - shop around a bit, you will save loads!0

I think you get them in Asda. I'd stock up on a heap of them, if there anything like the spotlights in our kitchen then one will go nearly every week.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Lidl. Poundstretcher. and Wilkinson do the bulbs. Just as good and cheaper.0

my lights used to go for a pastime, Even though I was also buying them from B&Q at £5.99 a bulb I was told not to use cheap bulbs!! because you get what you pay for!
I found packs of 4 for £1 at poundland, didn't think they would be any good, but touch wood, I haven't had one blow yet!!
The stock at Poundland always changes, so not sure whether they will be in all stores.0 -

I've got 15 of these lights in my kitchen and a bulb goes every couple of weeks! Bought 80 (yes, 80!) from a seller on eBay for less than 30p each inc. P&P! Very fast delivery as well.Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -
Try Maplins - that's where I get mine. They have an on-line shop.0
