Drivers Door won't open

Hello,

Looking at maybe buying car close to where I currently live.
However has slight problem, as title.
Have been told that central locking still works, as does locking from key itself. Assume they mean doesn't open from either inside and outside.

So can anyone suggest what the problem maybe? Or as to any costs if it needs to go to garage?

If it's any help then it's a '97 Hyundai Sonata.

If it sounds like I think you mean, it will fail an MOT. Would probably just be a rod that's come loose but probably indicates someone has attempted to steal it or it has been stolen recently.

I'd look for another car personally.

    Cheers for that,
Just so happens that the MoT has just expired. Probably the reason for selling

It should be as simple as popping the doorcard off and clipping the rod from the handle back onto the latch mechanism.
