changed postage

evening all, i just sold an item on ebay, the buyer paid straight away with paypal but they altered the postage by half the amount, can they do this,how did they do this, and what shall i do. the postaage was £5. but the item quite heavy .thanks in advance.

    Refund and invoice them again, pointing out their oversight when paying previously :D

    We get this question on occasions and I think we usually end up deciding that some buyers just try this on to see if a seller notices.

    Just do as pulliptears suggets, refund and re invoice and don't take any nonsense from this buyer.

    Definitely do as above I have had buyers who have bought multiple items and then paid for them altogether yet only paid one items p&p. I would refund and reinvoice and I would also send a polite message saying that there 'seemed to be a slight error with their payment payment received was £xx and should be £xx I have therefore refunded your payment and reinvoiced you. On receipt of the correct payment I will prepare your item for posting'.

    thanks everyone, i emailed the buyer and they coughed up the money straight away. the said they paid less by mistake !
