Company card with a low credit rating

All,

I have good news to start with. I have just been promoted to a new, better position.

The new role involves the use and issue of a company credit card (AMEX, if I am correct).

As my credit rating isn't famous, will AMEX refuse to issue me a corporate card? The company will pick up the bill by the way.

Will they/can they run a credit check and potentially inform my employers/manager?

Will I be embarassed by the situation?

No, they at most will do an ID check and that is it.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
