Laptop to LCD tv

I have a new laptop with hdmi out im looking to buy a new lcd tv is there anything special i new to be aware of as i plan to have the laptop connected to the tv when at home. i believe it is as simple aas connect and away you go

soounds bout right but i would think seriously about why u want to connect this to your tv,
assuming it will be a large tv and will be very hard on the eyes unless u get a long cableclick here to achieve nothing!0
