I HAVE SETANTA ON MY MAIN TV in my living room,i also took it on multi room in my sons room for a extra £5 per mth,but as my son isnt watching it i cancelled the £5 multi room dd,but kept on main one.i cancelled this using online banking, and about a week later i got a phone call from setanta saying i owed them £5,as it couldnt be cancelled via the bank,i would have to phone them,i have tried to cancel it by phoning them numerous times but never get thru, today i noticed £5 was taken out my bank to them via dd,surely if i cancelled this dd,it cant be reinstated?
Live in my shoes for a week, then tell me your lifes hard!

it shouldn't be re-instated without your permission after you have instructed your bank to stop honoring it AFAIK.
If you get no joy on phone to Setanta, I'd say you have good grounds to claim it back via the bank under the DD guarantee
MPI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.
