Evening All!!
Someone mention a car worth £450?? ......................I`ll bet it`s not worth any more than £50 once any seller fees, agents commissions, storage fees etc have been taken off.
I think you may have been interviewed by an over zealous examiner out to make a name for herself.
You clearly need the car as a necessity and not convenience or luxury as will be proved by the letters you will be asking all health professionals involved with you to write.
Any decisions taken by the examiner have to be ratified by the OR and any decision is open to appeal. You should be told that or given the relevant details to make such an appeal.
The best way is to write to the OR enclosing your evidence.
.....................and always undervalue your car...typically by about 30% as this is an auction sale not private.

Appeal to your examiner's line manager, who will be an Assistant Official Receiver. Only very rare (and tends to be extreme) cases go in front of the Official Receiver. Phone switchboard number and ask for name of your AOR from front desk.0 -

I would imagine it has something to do with gambling. It's possible that they are cosidering slapping a BRO on you if some of your debts were the direct result of it.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

They just want to sit down and talk through the circumstances that has led to your bankruptcy. You say that gambling was part of the reason, I suspect they want to establish time lines and how much you borrowed to gamble and what you did if anything with winnings. It is not unusual to ask for another interview if there is some complicated bits to your bankruptcy.
I am sorry they made you buy back your car. I hope you negotiated on the price.Namaste DeeDee x0 -

Would your OR had said they wanted your car because you dont work? I know that seems to appear on here quire a lot in that they think just because you dont work, you therefore dont need a car. Sorry to hear they made you buy it back though!Bankrupt : 9 May 2008
