Car Insurance for someone with 0 no claims and 6 points

Hiya

I was wondering what is the cheapest place to get car insurance for someone with 6 points for (N110 offence) and an accident I had two years ago? Im 23 yrs old and even with my dads name on the policy the cheapest quote i have been able to find is £1428....im not sure the car is even worth this much, as I drive a renult megane coupe!!!

any advice about how to knock the premium down would be much appreciated

Do you mean an IN10 offence? That's driving with no insurance.

Of course you won't find cheap insurance with an IN10 - that's the point!

£1428 sounds like a bargain for a group 12 (?) car and your risk profile.

I trust your dad is on there as a named driver..................??

I used to work for RAC, if you've got that conviction for having no insurance then you're scuppered, shop around but be prepared to pay a lot for the next couple of years.
