Help Dog with diabetes

Hi my dog has just been diagnosed with diabetes this morning, I have looked on this site at some old threads and got some very useful advice. What I would like to know is some feedback on the best sites to source his needles, insulin, glucose sticks food etc.
Our dog is a cairn terrier who we rescued from an abusive house 10 months ago we think he is 7 years 10 months, I have just had an accident at work and am not in a very good financial situation at the moment. As a result of money being tight we have not got dog insurance, short sighted now I know. But we love our dog and will make sacrifices to look after him and any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks Janey

I would get your insulin from the vet. It is sensitive to heat and being shaken so sending it in the post from an on-line pharmacy is not the best idea. You can get a prescription from your vet to get it from another local vet. You also need to make sure you are getting the right size of insulin syringe (there are 2 types U-100 and U-40) to go with your insulin. Getting that wrong can have serious consequences.0
