refund to credit card - quick response appreciated

I have had an order cancelled and it says it will be refunded to my credit card. I do not want this because I've already paid the bill off with my debit card.

Is there any way I can stop the refund going onto my credit card, and instead have it refunded to my debit card ???

Appreciate a quick reply so I can sort it out asap.

No, it can only be refunded to the card with which you purchased.

Once it has been refunded you can either request the money back from the credit card company or, more simply, just spend it again.

its ok i've found out that i can have it transferred to my bank once its gone onto the credit card. cheers.

Just as a further bit of advice - it's designed so you can't cheat the system to get a cash advance through a purchase. Think about it - otherwise, instead of doing a balance transfer or taking money out as a cash advance, you could put a purchase through, then refund it and take the cash that way...

I'm sure there would be an element of it being designed this way to prevent money laundering also which you definately dont want to be suspected of.
