Are you the sort of know-it-all who ruins everyone else's enjoyment of a good film by saying things like "Of course, I think you'll find that the restaurant supposedly located in Istanbul in Murder on the Orient Express was, in fact, London's Finsbury Park Astoria! Fnah!"? If so, then our showoff quiz will appeal to you, as will our competition prize - a copy of the newest edition of Movie London, Tony Reeves' exhaustive and incredibly informative guide to the city's cinematic highlights.
Who knew that the Dimco building on Wood Lane stood in for the Acme warehouse in Hollywood, where Marvin Acme was offed by a falling safe, in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Or that Abbey Mills Pumping Station in West Ham doubled as Dr Crane's Arkham Asylum laboratory in Batman Begins? Well, you, probably, you big smartie. But there are so many location spots in the book that you can't possibly know all of them already, so you're bound to learn something.
And it's simple to enter: just take our relatively easy and thoroughly Googlable quiz, and send your answers in an email, along with your name and address, to been.there@guardian.co.uk (eg '1.A, 2.B, 3.D, 4.C, 5.A'), before 5pm on Friday May 2. From the correct entries we'll draw five at random, and the winners will each receive a copy of Movie London.
And the answers are:
1. In A Fish Called Wanda, goldfish-guzzling, Palin-tormenting madman Otto steps in cement and is subsequently crushed by a steamroller. At which London airport is this climactic scene set?
b) Heathrow
2. Floppy-haired English rose Hugh Grant has been in far too many feel-good romantic cheesefests, which frequently feature the sights and suburbs of the capital city. But which of his following crimes against cynicism is not set in London?
d) Music and Lyrics
3. In Mary Poppins, the ‘little old bird woman’ sits on the steps of which cathedral as she sells crumbs to passers-by in the wistful hymn ‘Feed the birds’?
c) St Paul’s
4. Most of the London scenes in cult film Withnail & I were set in the grimy corners of Camden, but where were the majority of them actually filmed?
a) Notting Hill
5. In Tim Burton's film version of Sweeney Todd, the bloodthirsty barber returns from exile with a penchant for people-pies and a Morticia Addams-inspired hairdo. As he parts from the fresh-faced Antony on their arrival in London, he says "If you want you may well find me around..." where?
b) Fleet Street
