Hey Folks,
Quick Question really... try and simplify it for you..
I have a DD set up on my Barclaycard for the min payment.. I decided to pay extra this month so i made an online payment for the extra amount on top of my DD amount.. this was more than the minimum payment anyway...
I expected my DD to come out yest but it didnt.. If i make a payment in excess of the Min amount does this automaticly stop the Direct Debit for that month?
I Know it doesnt on Virgin but is this the case with Barclycard?

Same happened with me with Abbey. I rang them and was told that because the required payment was already made, the DD wouldn't come out. I was told (i think - indian call centre grrr) that if I wanted to make overpayments I should do it after the DD had been taken. The thing is, that only leaves a few days until the next statement, which is a bit inconvenient. I guess the thing to do would be to include your DD amount in your overpayment.
I assume it's the same for Barclycard, but I'd just give them a ring to ask....Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0
