========================================
EDIT:
As its a special offer some problem with linking: if you can add the code in theadvert directly into the basket starting from http://cpc.farnell.com/ or try this link http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=IT4486067
still in stock. CPC add a bit on their order codes for specials.
===================================
Also comes with 6 months speed camera subscription, then its £3.99 per month if you need it.

Well they sent me the maps,fine,but be warned,this unit will not update with Vista,you have to connect to PC and update via internet,mine wont,have tried with my sons XP machine and it still wont,its very complicated,unit is very 'plasticky' and cheap,seems to work ok,just that I can't update it.Would not have bought it had I known how difficult it is too update,or should I say impossible to update?:mad:Kawasaki z750 Rider!0 -

- With Full European Mapping: Garmin Nuvi 250 £99.99 delivered.
Amazon's also got this well-rated Garmin-branded box with full European mapping, Pre-loaded speed camera info, a 3.5 touch-screen and an intuitive interface, designed to be easy for even the most technically challenged driver. Like the one above, it'll also play media files for when you take a break from your European jaunt.
I got the Garmin Nuvi 300T from Laskys.com a few weeks ago for £109. It doesn't appear to listed there any more but they still have the Nuvi 300 for £96.
The 300 has UK & Ireland maps included, has an earphone socket (along with MP3 & audio book playback) and is compatible with the FM traffic receiver which the 'T' model comes with in the box i.e. the Garmin GTM-12 - which I've seen at online dealers for anything from £35 up to £80 alone, but then there's this truly barmy site doing it for £229... alone! (Should I start a MoneyBurningExpert.com?) It's only £42.54 + VAT at the official Garmin online shop!
I've found the traffic receiver to be dead useful.There's no subscription & once you get a traffic alert you can have the satnav re-route to avoid it, with just a couple of taps on the screen.
A model with similar spec but also WITH Euro mapping AND widescreen is the Harman Kardon GPS-300 on Maplin's site for £109.99 but I saw it in the Sheffield store for £99.99 a few weeks back (apparently that's half price, or was then). It's had mixed reviews, overall the media playback isn't rated highly but most reviews confirm good satnav features. Given the recent price drops in satnavs I guess there could be plenty of well featured devices around with UK, Ireland & Euro mapping, rraffic receiver and media playback features for around or under £100 now.
BTW the Nuvi doesn't include free subscription for "safety" (ahem) camera updates, but there's a one month free trial that you activate online I believe. It comes preloaded with recent-ish camera locations though, and hasn't missed one yet, for me.
The Nuvi's been easy to use and the non-widescreen satnavs fit more easily in pockets & handbags - don't forget0 - With Full European Mapping: Garmin Nuvi 250 £99.99 delivered.
