Three months has passed now without receiving the promised '2 for 1 Vue cinema cards' from The Sun. Their failure to deliver is an absolute disgrace. I've emailed BBC's consumer programme Watchdod bringing this issue to their attention. If you're equally frustrated with The Sun here's Watchdog's link:

The more of us who complain, the more likely we are to be heard.
Good Luck.

I thought they had been done once already by the trades descriptions folks - something about calling themselves a newspaper lol
I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

OP asked for help on an offer, for all we know, he could have just bought the paper for the offer. I have done this on occasion myself. And even if he didn't, who are you to judge someone on what he chooses to read?
Have you contacted the Sun for an explanation as to why you haven't received your cinema card?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Sun newspaper is not a newspaper.
It is a load of rubbish and every article, promotion or any advert is aimed squarely at the people who do not understand very much at all.
I dont care what other people may think but I for one think its a load of rubbish. In central london there street sellers selling the Sun for 20p stood next to a big issue sellers stood next to Metro 'free paper' Londonlite etc...
They are practically giving the Sun away....they make their money from adverts aimed at people who dont understand very much.0 -

I can't agree with you more. I've never bought that rag in my entire life. The thing is, they had a promotion 2for1 cinema cards back in February. Some kind MSE'er, amanda1205 (read her thread) gave us the numbers necessary to send to The Sun and in return, they would send us the 2for1 cinema cards. However they never honoured their offer and people are still waiting for their cards.
Whether we bought the paper or not, is irrelevant. How would they know who bought the paper or like most of us, I suspect, got the numbers from this website. Anyway, we're still waiting for this 'newspaper' to owe up!0 -
I forgot the snobby element in the MSE site...........Hate the sun because of its working class non socialist slant on things do we?..............I would love some decent telly on a Saturday night0

You mean monosyllabic sensationalism? That's not news as far as I was aware of the definition."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Daymo,
Just because someone is working class doesnt mean that they defacto HAVE to read the SUN. It is NOT the working class newspaper.
It is glorified loo paper.

I had the same problem last time this offer was on, contacted rebekah.wade@thesun.co.uk and "she" replied withink 2 minutes and got my card within 3 days
Can i ask why you havent tried to contact them first yourself without complaining? personally I think thats OTT not contacting them. When you have a complaint, you should give someone the opportunity to resolve it first before you "go to the top"
Anyway you can sort it if you use that email address0 -
