Peugeot

Just spent an hour on the phone to peugeot (using the land line number), and after explaining that I have spent almost £2000 on repairs that should have been under manufacturers guarantee (and warantee), they are giving me a brand new car for my troubles! :D

My car was a 56 plate peugeot 206, and the ECU, coil pack, starter motor, pistons and dashboard (speedo, mileage clock, rev counter) was all faulty, and I spent £2000 on getting it all fixed at the peugeot dealer, the woman on the phone said that I spent money where I didnt need too, and she put me onto her manager, who put me onto his manager he said that now I have a case number, I take my car to the dealer, tell them my case number, they put it in the computer that they have, and I get my choice of 206 models (be it diesel, automatic, 206cc etc).

well happy!

  • My 206 did exactly the same. I bought it brand new as a 54 plate and a month later there was water in the passenger side footwell. I worked for the RAC at the time so I called my boss who arranged a recovery for me.
They replaced the entire ECU, seals around the doors and coil pack for me under warranty AND provided me with a replacement car while mine was fixed.

Except, now I own a kamikaze killing machine aka mitsubishi lancer...so....my little pug is elsewhere...somewhere..... :D
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

Actually, I think you'll find certain German and Japanese cars are excellent quality. Mercedes or Toyota anyone?
