Can someone please help! I have been passed from pillar to post trying to find out if any money is due to me. Can someone please let me know what number to phone (in Manchester) and what do I actually say to them
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Go to the citizen's advice bureau. They will help you and you can be reasonably sure it will be correct.
I hate claiming tax credits, or anything with confusing forms.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
The tax credit helpline is 0845 300 3900, 7 days 8-8.
People often confuse "tax credits" with "tax rebates". For tax rebates the manchester tax office (who can either help or redirect to your allocated tax occice) is 0845 302 1477.
Tax credits will need to know the family income for 07/08 & 08/09 to calc if you have an ent, or use the website www.hmrc.gov.uk
Good luck.
