ebay, freecycle, or somewhere in between?

in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
anyone think there is a middle ground for 'genuine' sellers to ply their wares (ooh er!), on a local basis?

cash deals only, none of thispaypal malarkay- all deals recorded so any dodgy dealers are tracked / booted off, along with repeat no-show buyers / 'wantee's..*

* is that a word? if not, then i claim copyright!
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

    Perhaps ebay messing everyone around will lead to a boom in trade for the small ads people?

    Have you checked out Gumtree.com? Admittedly owned by eBay but a good online classifieds site.
