Tuesday 29/04/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will/have:
  • Check online banking
  • Clicks
  • storecupboard lunch
  • Try and have a no spend day
  • Made a loaf in breadmaker
  • Dried some apple rings in dehydrator to save apples being wasted.
Have a good day everyone, the sun is shining here and looks like a great day:D :D
Andan glad your first day went well yesterday:j

  • Good Morning Everyone:j

    Today I will:

Have a NSD has not at work and got enough to occupy me at home to deter me from shops:A

Put washing on the line once 'nice but let me tell me you my lifestory...this week's version anyway' neighbour goes out. If she catches me in garden I'll come away feeling as if I've been through a never ending nightmare of Jeremy Kyle, Trisha, Maury and Sally Jesse Raphael all rolled into one:confused::cry:

Not put heating on till girls come home from school:A

Make a sandwich lunch and make chicken casserole for evening meal - all from store cupboard/fridge freezer:A

    Check online banking:rotfl:

Review what bills I need to pay and what shopping I need to get when I go out on Friday

And I think that just about covers it for the day:rotfl:

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and financially successful Tuesday:T :D

    Hi,
I have read about people doing 'clicks'. What does this mean? Thank you :)
  • Well took my sanity in my hands and successfully managed to slip under neighbour's radar and peg washing online:T :rotfl:

Might actually watch a bit of Jeremy now;) :p

How do you do clicks on quidco? Have had a look, but can't find them. Also have been onto greasypalm and find that complicated also? Any help would be greatly received - or do I need to start a new thread for this?

    Morning All

    Well i will be:
    • Checking online banking
    • Finding more items to list on ebay
    • Sorting out my clothes so that i know what i have and dont feel tempted to buy new things! :rotfl:
    • Have a NSD
    xxx
    Debt: just my mortgage :D
  • :hello: hi everyone
Payday today!! But I haven't spent anything yet! I have
    • had storecupboard lunch at work (well, houmous from the fridge)
    • checked freecycle
    • arranged to sell some spare gig tickets for £23 profit :T
    • checked internet banking (twice) to make sure my money's in there:o
    • updated spreadsheet with a bit of mystery shopping income
    And I will
    • see if pigsback finally has any clicks
    • not spend anything - tesco order that OH has paid for is coming tonight, so also
    • meal plan - have started a spreadsheet for this, but I can't get as excited about it as I should!
For people asking about clicks, it's best to check out the freebies board, as they have really thorough guides to pigsback and quidco etc - the quidco clicks are specific ones through kelkoo, high street web and another one that i've forgotten :D

    See you 2mw
